IPA advertises a 100% job guarantee on its diploma programmes. This page sets out exactly what that guarantee is, so that nobody enrols on a misunderstanding. It forms part of IPA’s terms and conditions.
What the guarantee is
For a student who qualifies under the conditions below, IPA will keep arranging job interviews with employers until the student is placed. The guarantee is a commitment to interviews. IPA does not promise that any particular interview will result in an offer, because the hiring decision belongs to the employer and the interview performance belongs to the student.
In IPA’s own words, from its terms and conditions: “100% Job guarantee diploma programs are subjective to students’ performance and IPA’s criteria. It includes sending students to interviews after [which] students are responsible for the interviews.”
Which programmes it covers
The guarantee applies to IPA’s diploma programmes, such as the 12-month ADFA diploma, the 15-month diploma and the 18-month diploma. Each course page says whether that course carries the guarantee. Short certificate courses (a Tally or Excel course on its own, for example) include placement assistance but not the guarantee.
Who qualifies
The guarantee depends on the student’s performance and on IPA’s criteria. In practice that means a student is expected to:
- complete the programme, attend regularly and keep up with the practical work;
- complete the programme’s assessments to the standard IPA sets;
- take part in the resume and interview-preparation sessions;
- attend the interviews IPA arranges, on time and prepared, and behave professionally with employers.
Before you enrol, ask the counsellor to confirm the specific criteria that apply to your programme and batch, and keep the enrolment form, which records them.
What IPA does
- Prepares a resume with you, matched to the roles you are suited for.
- Runs interview practice on the questions entry-level accounting roles actually ask.
- Refers you to employers and schedules interviews, and keeps doing so until you are placed.
- Talks honestly with you about realistic starting salaries and how the role can progress.
What the student is responsible for
Clearing the interview, accepting or declining an offer, and the terms agreed with the employer are the student’s own. Declining a suitable offer, not attending arranged interviews, or not meeting the programme’s criteria can end IPA’s obligation under the guarantee.
About the 98% figure
IPA reports that more than 98% of the students who complete its diploma programmes are placed. The figure comes from IPA’s own placement records. Students’ accounts of their training and placements, including video interviews, are on the reviews and placements page.
Fees
The guarantee does not change IPA’s fee policy. Course fees are non-refundable once a student has enrolled; see the refund policy.
